Stagfest 2008
Sunday 24th August was STAGFEST 2008.
Well What a Day!!! And it stayed dry. Although it did not rain the marquee was an enormous success as it was at Gratfonbury and as the evening came it made the whole event very warm and cosy and a superb space for the bands to perform and guests to play.
Thanks to everyone who performed and came to enjoy the fab music, it was a huge success.
Also a massive thank you to everyone that helped pull the day together in the days before and the days after including Tim and Nick and all the lads of The Bidford Boys Football Club for their help with the bales of straw and getting the marquee ready and then taking everything down on the following day.
A really massive thank you to all The Stag crew who had a really busy day with normal service and Stagfest until very very late.
We had a great couple of hours with Warwickshires Got Talent with some great talent. Thanks to Dave, Lisa, Jack Chamberlain, Ollie. Jack Blackman and Guy. The winner was Guy who by audience vote won the £5o cash prize. We have asked him to play in the pub on a Sunday live music evening within the next couple of weeks (21st September). We have also asked Jack Blackman to come and play his guitar one Sunday evening in the near future as his guitar playing is fab and well worth listening to again. Watch out for a date.
The bands played from 2pm till 11.45pm and everyone was super. A huge thanks to all of you. You all made the day very special. I hope you enjoy the pics we have put on the website. If any one has any pics we can have for the website please forward them to me.
