We spent the day in Stratford Upon Avon before moving on elsewhere the following day. The Stag Hotel was easy to find and about 5 minutes from the centre by car. The room was immaculate and had all the usual essentials - comfy and warm too. The food was great - a traditional menu with great prices (15% off if you order before 7pm). Staff were very attentive without being too invasive. Comfy bar area with big fire and comfy leather chairs. On talking to the staff it is evident that despite the downturn in the market just now, this is one of the few hotels in the area that is still doing very well - this is largely to do with the price structure. All in all a great old hotel and if in the area again I would not even bother looking for somewhere else to stay - and I've not even mentioned the bacon sandwiches in the morning. Enjoy.

+ We had a very enjoyable stay at The Stag. The accommodation, staff and food were excellent and I would certainly recommend it to others. It was only a short taxi ride to Stratford and extremely convenient.

+ arrived at 6.30.p.m. friendly reception, informed of dining facilities which we used. Food was excellent and service very good . + The whole layout is brilliant, the door to the room led straight outside so we could come and go as we pleased. We had dinner in the resturant, the food was good, reasonably priced, service excellent even though they were busy and the whole place had a very friendly atmosphere.

+ Location of accomm. behind restaurant and bar. Fairly peaceful. Comfortable and home-like. Staff - very pleasant. Food was great and I liked the dining/breakfast areas. I would visit again.
- If anything it would be that the room was very warm when I arrived - sun-facing in the afternoon + central heating was on. Not a big issue though.
